Live With a Pure Heart
“Pure Heart”
This phrase came up in my readings twice in one morning. When you read a phrase and it strikes you one time, you might underline it and come back to it. When you read a phrase and then see that same phrase a second time in the span of five minutes, a message is being sent.
Over the last 10-15 years, I have been enamored with the mental or psychological side of humanity. The human mind is an amazing structure with a variety of functions. Throughout this time of study of the psychological side of life, the concept of the heart and the mind working together is also striking. Our hearts guide our thinking. What is in your heart?
When we hear of a “pure heart,” we are called to live a life that is free of motives for self-service.
This brings to mind a quote from Zig Ziglar, “You can have anything you want in life, if you just help enough other people get what they want.”
We can have a pure heart by serving others. We serve others, not so we will get something in return. We serve others because it makes the world a better place.
Take the opportunity today to serve others with a pure heart.
Keep Competing.
