Why Are We Surprised?

We live in a world that will test us. We live in a world that wants to make us think we are less than we are.

Our hearts will be tested. Why are we surprised by the moments that test our heart?

Because we are human. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Our belief will be tested. Why are we surprised by the tests?

Because we are human. Keep believing.

Our endurance will be tested. Why are we surprised by the struggle?

Because we are human. Keep Showing Up.

Our desire will be tested. Why are we surprised by the doubt?

Because we are human. Keep pushing forward.

Our swing will be tested. Why are we surprised by a slump?

Because we are human. Keep hitting.

Our stuff on the mound will be tested. Why are we surprised by a hit or a walk?

Because we are human. Keep firing the ball to the catcher’s mitt.

Why are we surprised? Because we are human.

When we live in faith and know we live in a world that will test us, we will NOT be surprised, we will be prepared.
